   I’m so sorry about Hammy Poo. Not to sound gross, but can you leave him outside in a “safe” makeshift hamster morgue until the ground thaws a bit in a week or so?

   I’d go with the suggestion of putting him in a dignified place until the ground thaws a bit… :)

   Yeah, I think the temporary “hamster morgue” is our best bet. He’s wrapped up in a safe place on the back porch. It doesn’t seem quite right, but I guess it’s the best we can do…
